British Food Fortnight: Celebrating British Food & Drink

British Food Fortnight is the largest annual national celebration of British food and drink. Since its inception in 2002, British Food Fortnight had become an opportunity for those working in Britain in food and drink to come together and promote their wares. The official sponsor for Love British Food Fortnight is Co-op, who already have staples of their stores being British products. Being able to boast great British food is something that Co-op know is important to their customers, and therefore have made great efforts during this year’s British Food Fortnight to help organisations looking to introduce or further promote their British food and drink to the market. Goupie was lucky enough to be chosen as one of two companies to represent British food at their London event this year.

Food Fortnight

On Friday the 22nd of September we were given the opportunity to promote Goupie outside of the Co-op store on Old Street, London. Us, alongside Soffle’s Pitta Chips, had the chance to show Co-op customers our featured products, as well as engage with them about British food and drink in general. During this time, we also met the wonderful Mayor of Islington, Councillor Una O’Halloran, as well as MP for Islington South & Finsbury, Emily Thornberry, who all showed a great interest in British Food Fortnight and our products. It was a huge honour to be given the opportunity by Co-op to help launch their British Food Fortnight and inform the locals of our wonderful chocolate confection!

Thank you Co-op and we look forward to working with you more in the future! Check out our stockist map to find out which Co-op stores you can currently find Goupie..
