Inspired by regular trips to the US, Co-owner Joseph Sopher saw an opportunity to transform the ordinary tasting, stale, popcorn people had become accustomed to into a scrumptious gourmet treat. Once they had the idea perfected, they then knew the hard part was next…perfecting the recipe! Many ruined pans, and late-night tasting sessions later, they had discovered the taste which would later be recognised and loved by thousands across the world. Joseph, his wife and eldest son took their product to a food show in 2010 and they sold out completely in two days, not long after, they received their first retail listing, and the rest, as they say, is history!
Handmade by a small team of pastry chefs in London, the popcorn’s journey begins; first, the popcorn is air-popped and coated with their signature smooth caramel made from fresh bitter, much different from the typical oil and sugar British mix. This was almost inevitably going to catch the eye of an average British consumer with a little sweet tooth who had been used to overly average popcorn their whole lives. Joe and Seph’s proudly boast over 50 flavours; ranging from the wild and wacky, marmite popcorn to the classic maple syrup and roasted pecan popcorn.
