Instead of buying Christmas tags this year, why not make your own? You can use old Christmas cards, Goupie boxes or card packaging from festive food and wrapping. All you need is some scissors and some old ribbon/string - it's really as simple as that!

Wrapping paper rolls and toilet rolls make a great inner structure for your own home-made Christmas crackers. What's even better is you can put whatever treat you want in them, saving you from plastic tat! You can also use awkward offcuts of your wrapping paper, or even old newspaper/magazines to make your Christmas crackers!
