You don't need to buy wrapping paper this Christmas, in fact, it's better if you don't!
Did you know?
Most wrapping paper contains much more than just paper.
There can be foils, plastics, films, glitter, and much more that make recycling wrapping paper impossible. It also means putting used wrapping paper in the fire isn't very good for the environment either.
So what can we use instead?
Glad you asked!
Kraft paper
Classic, timeless, and endlessly classy, kraft wrapping is the perfect swap for those looking for an aesthetic Christmas.
You can buy plain rolls for a clean, simple look. You can find printed kraft paper (check the inks!) for gorgeous gifting. Or you can customise plain kraft yourself by getting arty with watercolours and pencils.

Newspaper
This might be a hard sell, but if you dress it up right, newspaper can actually make quite a lovely gift wrap!
Check your newspaper for nice pictures or funny stories, and make sure nothing depressing makes its way to the front of the present.

Fabric wrapping
Reusable, low-fuss, and fabulous, a fabric wrap is the perfect eco choice.
You can create a set for swapping and changing amongst the family, or simply use any scraps you have. Tie corners together for an easy peasy present, or level up your gifting with a fabric scrap ribbon. This is gift wrap you can use for years.

Repurposed packaging
Gift bags, tissue paper, boxes, bows, and ribbons. All these things come to us with time. Maybe we bought a water bottle that came in a swanky box, or a dressing gown wrapped in gorgeous tissue paper.
Create a stash of all the nice packaging you accumulate and whip it out for gifting season.
