Who doesn't love a good biscotti with a coffee? Now you can make your own at home, with our easy recipe!
Method
- Preheat the oven to 180 oC.
- Mix together the sugar, milk, sunflower oil, orange zest, soy powder and vanilla in a bowl until fully combined.
- Sieve the flour and baking powder into the wet mix, and combine into a dough.
- Roughly chop the Goupie before adding that, and the almonds to the dough.
- Split the dough into two pieces and shape each half into a log shape.
- Place the logs onto a lined baking tray, with plenty of space between each. Use you hands to slightly flatten the rolls and smooth the edges to make the classic biscotti shape.
- Bake for 35 minutes until they are light brown in colour. Remove from the oven and turn the temperature down to 140 oC.
- Using a sharp knife (we find a bread knife works best) cut the rolls into individual biscotti, around 1cm thick each. This part can be a little crumbly, but be patient, you'll get there!
- Put the pieces back onto the baking tray and bake for a further 15 minutes, turning them halfway through.
