I’M A GOUPIE GROUPIE

There’s something so exciting about receiving goodies through the post, so when my parcel arrived the other day, I couldn’t wait to delve in and discover my boxes of delicious delights.

These gorgeous boxes of hand-made chocolates are by a company called Goupie. They are a family run business based in Kent and their products are based on a genuine family recipe. There are 16 delicious flavours to choose from, including Cherry and Almond, Date and Walnut, Cardamom and White Chocolate and Lemon Meringue. There are also seasonal flavours to choose from, which include A Taste of Christmas, Boozy Christmas and White Christmas. I was completely spoilt for choice in which flavours to try, but in the end I opted for Lavender and White Chocolate and Espresso.

The initial aroma of the sweet white chocolate paired with the heavenly scent of the culinary lavender was divine and they looked so mouth-wateringly good.

The taste definitely lived up to my high expectations. The chewy bite size pieces were so moreish and the pairing of the white chocolate and lavender was a perfect combination. This was an extremely good choice on my behalf and my family loved them, needless to say, they didn’t last very long.

The Espresso flavoured chocolates, I have to say though, were my favourite. The decadent dark, Belgian chocolate teamed with the richness of freshly roasted ground Arabica coffee beans was sumptuous.

Each individual triangle shape comes with a coffee bean on the top, which adds to the gorgeous flavour and they looked so appealing. I also loved the chewy crunch when biting into them, followed by a delicious kick of espresso. Perfect for all you coffee lovers.

Not only are the chocolates gorgeous, but the packaging is so gorgeous too. Goupie have been shortlisted for the 2016 UK Packaging Awards and you can see why. I loved the shape, style and colour of the boxes and they definitely deserve to win in my eyes.

I was also sent two beautiful recipe cards, with instructions on how to make Date and Walnut Energy Balls and Chocolate Vegan Cheesecake, perfect for future treat ideas.

All the dark flavours are dairy-free and vegan friendly and Goupie have also produced 6 gluten-free flavours, so they really have thought of just about everything.

I absolutely loved these chocolates and they would make an ideal Christmas or birthday gift or for simply enjoying at any time of the year. I will definitely be recommending these to my family and friends, the only problem I’ve got now is which flavour to choose next!
