Top 3 Goupie-Drinks Pairings!

For years, we've been pairing our Goupie flavours with various drinks and collating them in our Brand Bible for a rainy day. Well, it's not raining, but we think it's about time we shared this valuable knowledge with our Groupies!

SB Espresso

1. English Lavender + Cognac

I'll be the first to admit that our Lavender flavours are not everyone's cup of tea. In fact, around 50% of the people who try it, can't stand it. That's ok, because the other 50% love it, and some customers exclusively buy our English Lavender without giving our other flavours a second glance.

Whichever camp you fall into, this pairing is definitely worth a try! This French brandy gives our Kentish lavender the perfect accompaniment - and this coming from someone who would choose neither Cognac or Lavender Goupie on their own on any given day! It's simple a pairing which has to be tried to fully appreciate.

2. Date & Walnut + Red Port

Unlike the pairing above, both Date & Walnut Goupie and Port are two items that would make it into my top 5 in their relevant categories, and so I may be a little bias with this next pairing...

That being said, I think it's an obvious choice for an after-dinner tipple and really, you can't go too far wrong when talking about chocolate and alcohol!

3. Salted Sticky Toffee + Margaritas

Yes, we've said Margaritas, plural! Let's be honest, if you're drinking Margaritas, you're not just going to have one. And that fits, because the same can be said of our Salted Sticky Toffee Goupie.

The Maldon Sea Salt in the Goupie pairs perfectly with the tartness of the Margarita, whilst the sticky date base works well with the tequila. I don't know about you, but a night filled with Margaritas and chocolate, might just be my perfect evening...
