This year, we wanted to do Christmas a little differently, with a Christmas Clearance! But, why? We want to take you through all the reasons why we think this is a great idea...
After taking a look around our little storage unit, we realised that we've somehow managed to amass a variety of surplus packaging which we no longer have need for. These are bits and bobs we accumulated through previous projects, bespoke for other customers, and even a few sample packs. They no longer fit in with our brand values (they're made from plastic and better alternatives have now become available) or aesthetic (we now have a much clearer brand identity!) and so we have no use of them on a day-to-day basis.
However, at Goupie we hate waste. This has meant that we've kept hold of basically everything, rather than waste it! We've been trying to find good ways to use the stock we have, and you may have noticed some bits and bobs trickling into our product offering. Fundamentally, we don't believe in getting rid of it, which is probably what many brands would have done by now, but we also aren't worried about making back our investment in it. This lead to an idea.
What if we could offer our customers products at a lower price AND use up the packaging we have? We know that this year (to be honest, the last 3 years) have been financially tough on everyone. We've always tried to keep our prices as low as possible, but with rising supplier costs, wages and energy, it is not always as easy as it sounds!
And so, what could possibly be better than being able to offer our products for a lower cost, without reducing the quality, by simply not charging for the packaging?!
So, that's what we're doing. We're offering a whole suite of new products, exclusive to our website, as part of our Christmas Clearance. These products will all be packaged in surplus packaging, and the cost saving from not buying anything new, we've passed on to you. You can see the saving you've made on every product when you search!
Each product will only have a limited number available, and this will directly correlate to the packaging we have left in that particular style. This means, once it's gone, it's gone!
This is also giving us a chance to try out new product ideas, and have a bit of fun in the factory, so it really is win-win! You save money this Christmas, and we can clear some space in our warehouse with a sustainable choice. We've already got loads of goodies on offer including our Giant Discs and candied almonds, but we'll have more coming day by day, so keep your eyes peeled!
